The wind remains calm and it’s overcast. Jana and I catch up on some work, she’s still working hard on the blog. It is a massive project, but we feel it will be a legacy for our kids when they reflect back on this trip.

I’m doing some work and planning the next legs of our trip. I eventually take a break and fit the Smart Lock on the RV so we can access and lock the RV remotely. It’s an August Smart Lock and works really well. The instructions are phenomenal, and that’s honestly a rarity with these sorts of items.

I also raise up the shower head to accommodate Jack’s growing height. We finally finish with work and school all head down to Fort Zachary Taylor Park Beach.

It’s a lovely beach and there are some amazing vintage sailboats sailing in and out of the harbor entrance. The harbor entrance sits behind a breakwater, between the harbor and the beach.

Jack and Jana take some photos and Ellie draws in her sketch book. It’s a lovely way to finish our Sunday.

At dusk, we head back toward Boyd’s and grab take out from Miami Grill and Subs.

Good local take out! It kind of reminds us of Bodo’s from Charlottesville, but not quite as finely tuned.

We hunker down for the night. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so we’re planning to stay in, and maybe paddle if there’s a break and it’s not pelting down.
