It was a rough night’s sleep for Jana and me. So we take it easy and sip our coffee in bed. We eventually drag ourselves out and walk the dogs. Jana’s head is still cracking so she takes some time to meditate and do her Wim Hof practice to try and crack it. Thankfully, this helps.
I have started replacing a couple of windows in the front of the RV that were really opaque and as with most of these projects, this takes longer than hoped and usually has a few twists and turns to contend with.
Eventually, we gather everyone up and head to Sanibel Island. Jana’s feeling better and we decide to have a late picnic lunch on the beach. We stop at Jerry’s Foods, a great delicatessen/grocery store on Sanibel Island, and head across to the Gulfside City Park Beach.
The Red Tide is stronger here, but the beach is nice and the weather is warm and windy. We have a really nice lunch and then head back to Bonita Springs. It is about a 50-minute trip from Sanctuary RV Park. Probably worth the drive, but we all preferred Barefoot Beach to the Gulfside City Park Beach.
We head back to the RV to give the dogs a break. Jack takes the opportunity of the sunset to get some drone
footage of the RV Park and the RV. He jumped up on the roof and Jana joined him to check out the drone operation. Given that no one’s particularly hungry, I complete the next round of the window upgrade and we all get cleaned up for a quiet night on the bus.
Eventually, we gather everyone up and head to Sanibel Island. Jana’s feeling better and we decide to have a late picnic lunch on the beach.

Sailing Tahiti to Australia | Month 2 FP
Here is what our second month living on our boat, Hanavave, in Tahiti, French Polynesia, was like.
Our trip to Australia was delayed due to port closures throughout the South Pacific. We spent the month making improvements to Hanavave so that we could make the passage to Australia with fewer stops.
