Lake Livingston, Onalaska, TX

ODOMETER: 81,982 | MILES TRAVELED: 4,037

by Grant

The wind kept waking us up last night, but we remained warm in the RV and took the dogs out early. The wind chill has brought the outside temperature down into the 30’s, but it is going to get up in the 50’s today with sustained high winds.

I did an early conference call and Jana is catching up on some of her work. Jana brought the blog up to date yesterday. This is no small feat, as there is so much media to sift through with all of us taking videos and photos constantly.

Jack and Ellie have school and Jana and I keep busy with our own work. The wind is still howling and the wind chill off the lake is pretty fierce (relatively), so we mainly stay indoors. We had hoped to paddle or run/ride one more time but that doesn’t pan out.

When Jack and Ellie finish school, we all decided to go over to the Lake Livingston State Park and look around. They’re doing renovations on the store, jetties, boat ramps and access ramps and it will be awesome when it’s finished.

Jack grabbed some photos and we all wander around shaking off the cabin fever.

We head back to the RV and heat up some stew, which turned out pretty well.

We are headed to Choke Canyon Recreation Area tomorrow and looking forward to our next leg of the journey across Texas.
