We had about a 5-hour drive from Tucson, Arizona to Winterhaven, California today. Apart from slightly high winds, the drive was relatively uneventful.

The campground in Winterhaven was nestled among lettuce fields peppered with migrant workers picking and boxing up the ripe produce.

Needing some fresh air, we found a hike nearby and drove out into the desert to find the trailhead. Grant, Jack and I ended up climbing a mountain in the desert, while Stellie waited at the bottom. The views from the top were amazing and the hike/climb was a lot of fun.
