Neither Grant nor I slept well last night with the stresses of yesterday still looming over us. We started our day with a lovely walk on the beach to try to get some fresh salty air and lift our spirits. We spotted a lot of fish jumping out of the water and even a pod of dolphins swimming off shore.

Later, we ventured into town to look around and locate the essentials, mainly a grocery store. Los Barriles (“The Barrels”) is a quaint fishing town, popular with kiteboarders and windsurfers. There are shops, cafes and taquerias running along the main street, called Calle 20 Noviembre. There are also e-bike and ATV rentals for offroading in the surrounding desert. Most of the streets in Los Barriles are not paved, which gives it a nice charm and a fun drive in our Jeep.
