Today was the first school day since we’ve arrived in Los Barriles. Figuring out the internet is always a task and since the weather is beautiful, we decided to do school and work days under a palapa in the campground and work outside.

In the afternoon, Grant and I ventured out to explore some trails in the hills behind the campground. After taking a bit to find the trailhead, we found ourselves on a beautiful trail overlooking Los Barriles and Buena Vista. The views of the town and the ocean were beautiful. The trail was too difficult and narrow to mountainbike, so we decided to just hike the second half of it. It felt good to be on a trail again, San Felipe didn’t have any and running through the desert there wasn’t as nice because of the trash that was strewn everywhere.

It was our last night with Staci and Blair before they head back to La Ventana tomorrow morning, so we made the most of it.
