Travel Day | Los Barriles to Loreto, Mexico
ODOMETER: 85,054 | TODAY’S MILES: 284 | TOTAL MILES TRAVELED: 6,839
As the weather warmed and opportunities Stateside blossomed, we decided to head back. north. The Easter traffic and camping crowd had subsided and we set off from Los Barriles around 9am. The road was equally narrow and winding on the way north as it was on the way south so it was hard going.
After 7 hours of pretty hair raising roads, we ended up staying just south of Loreto at a very small and quaint spot called Hotel Tripui. Lush gardens, nice pool a lovely restaurant and Ernesto, a very helpful and chatty server who taught us a few things about Mexican culture over dinner.
